I am a Dutch artist, born in 1971 in Bergen op Zoom and I live at the moment in Rotterdam, the Netherlands and since 2005 I unveill each year guerilla artwise an I Will Win painting of 10 x 6 m (33 x 20 ft) along the course of the New York City Marathon in order to show my painting for 6 to 7 seconds to the 50.000 runners and 260 million tv viewers at home while watching the New York City Marathon. What actually never happend!

Together with you and many other people from all over the world I want to change history with the following 5 small steps I want to: 1. to buy cotton, acrylic paint, brooms, wood, etc (cost € 2.400) 2. to paint in New York (cost € 2.800 extra) in order to give reporters of websites, newspapers, radio and tv stations time to blog, write or broadcast about I Will Win X in advance 3. to celebrate (regardless coverage) ten years I Will Win with friends, funders and everybody else who loves art and New York with a big Champagneparty (cost € 600) 4. to unveill I Will Win X like the last 9 years at a building near mile 20 at Sunday, November 2nd in the Bronx (step 4 cost € 1,200) 5. to show I Will Win 1 till 10 at least two weeks in New York (step 5 cost € 9.000).
From 2005 till 2012 I painted each year an I Will Win painting for the New York City Marathon in various studio’s in the Netherlands. In the video below you will see 8 of my paintings filmed in a former Submarine Wharf in Rotterdam.

I LOVE DC
Due to Sandy (the NYC Marathon was cancelled for the first time in history) I decided to unveil I Will Win – The Elections in Washington DC. During my stay of five days I fall in love with DC and its citizens. That’s why I decided to paint I Will Win – The War in 2013 in DC while I expressed my love for DC with a thorough search for 250 cars for I LOVE DC.
